Vision Source was founded by Glenn Ellisor, O.D. in 1991 in Kingwood, Texas. Dr. Ellisor believed that eye health care is best provided by an independent doctor of optometry, assuring that decisions regarding your eye health are made between you and your Vision Source doctor and based upon what is best for your continued good vision.
His concept was to create a network of eye doctors that could share resources, knowledge and buying power, yet still remain free to make their own decisions about the best care for their patients. From just 3 offices in 1991, Vision Source has grown to more than 1,500 offices in all 50 states and Canada.
Today, the independent doctors of optometry that make up the Vision Source network are among the best in the nation. In addition to serving their patients in their practices, Vision Source doctors also serve as:
